The Pacific Australian Labour Mobility Scheme (PALM) replaces the Australian Government’s Seasonal Worker Programme (SWP) and Pacific Labour Scheme (PLS), offering a more robust and efficient solution for employers, alongside greater protection and security for PALM employees.
Under the single program, employers now have the option to recruit workers for short-term seasonal positions or longer-term roles. This flexibility allows employers to meet their specific workforce needs while providing workers with greater stability and opportunities for skill development and financial support.

Designed to support both rural and urban sectors, the PALM Scheme is especially tailored for the agricultural and specific food product manufacturing sectors, ensuring that industries never face workforce shortfalls.
